Managers merge

Ft. Lauderdale-based yacht management company Edge Yachts has acquired industry veteran Water’s Edge Consulting from its founder, Ken Argent.


Company CEO Anthony Sands founded the company three years ago and focuses on management and construction supervision.

Argent, with 47 years of professional experience in the maritime industry, including 37 years in the yachting industry, said the merger would appear seamless to his existing clients. “Nothing will change but the name,” he said. “Our clients will be serviced by the same people as they are now.”

“Ken has built an amazing career and unblemished reputation based on honesty, integrity and the highest form of professionalism,” Sands said. “These are the same principles upon which I founded Edge Yachts. Ken and I spent a great deal of time over the past months getting to know each other and developing an understanding of how our companies could work together if we were to merge. We both came away from our deliberations believing that our companies, and our clients, will be stronger and better served by working together.”
