McMurdo promotes VP

Maryland-based McMurdo Group, a provider of search and rescue (SAR) and maritime domain awareness (MDA) solutions, has appointed Randel Maestre as vice president of sales for the Americas.

Maestre will be responsible for implementing a coordinated sales and marketing strategy for McMurdo’s product portfolio including emergency distress beacons, search and rescue infrastructure products and fleet management/tracking software. This will include building the sales teams, recruiting new partners and developing new channel programs for the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

He has been McMurdo’s vice president of global strategic marketing for the past year. Prior to McMurdo, he was at Polycom for more than seven years.
