Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) offers a 10 percent discount off towing and half-price membership dues for those serving active duty in the Reserve or National Guard.

“It’s our uniformed military personnel that allow our over half-million members the freedom to enjoy boating in America,” said Scott Croft, BoatUS vice president of public affairs. “This is just our way of saying thank you.”

BoatUS towing services offers military members annual on-water unlimited freshwater towing plans for inland lakes and rivers for $39, and unlimited saltwater towing plans for coastal boaters for $112. The plans provide for tows back to docks, boat launch ramps or repair facilities, battery jumps, fuel drop offs and soft ungroundings.

The annual membership includes a subscription to BoatUS Magazine, marina and service discounts, safety information and access to information on boating legislation. To request assistance, members can contact any TowBoatUS or Vessel Assist towing provider by marine radio, phone, free BoatUS Towing App and messaging services with the SPOT and inReach satellite communications services. To find out if a TowBoatUS or Vessel Assist is nearby, military boaters and anglers can go to BoatUS.com/map. To get the special discounts offered to active duty military, Reserve and National Guard, call 800-395-2628.
