UPDATED ICW in NC re-opened
CruisersNet is reporting that the Alligator River Swing Bridge over the ICW in North Carolina has re-opened to navigation. A bent shaft was pulled, straightened and replaced to allow full operation. The bridge crosses the Alligator River section of the ICW at Statute Mile 84, south of flashing daybeacon No. 12.

CruisersNet is reporting that the Alligator River Swing Bridge over the ICW in North Carolina is closed to navigation until further notice. It has a sheared turning gear, which requires actual fabrication to replace. Officials are working on it but could not give a date of completion of the repairs.
