People on the Move

Camper & Nicholsons International has appointed Paolo Casani as president. Casani previously served as CEO of Azimut Yachts and CEO of Nautor Holding. He also has 20 years experience in the fashion and luxury goods sectors, including Armani, Valentino, Calvin Klein and Ferragamo.
One of Casani’s early responsibilities, according to a company statement, will be the launch of Yachtster, a short-stay charter business for small to mid-size yachts recently acquired by the Camper & Nicholsons group. Yachtster will be managed by its founder, Anthony Brisacq.
Michael Payne will continue as CEO, reporting to Casani.
John Weller has joined Camper & Nicholsons as a sales broker in its Ft. Lauderdale office. A broker for more than 40 years, he previously worked with Northrop & Johnson and Bertram Yachts. He also organizes the annual Big Brothers/Big Sisters fishing tournament each summer and volunteers with the Freedom Waters Foundation to give children with cancer and their families time on the water.
Rod Lindor has joined Northrop & Johnson as a charter manager in its Ft. Lauderdale office.
Lindor has spent several years as a charter manager at another firm and now manages nine yachts as part of Northrop & Johnson’s new Bahamas Collection: the 143-foot (43.6m) M/Y Starship, the 132-foot (40m) M/Y Sea Dreams, the 115-foot (35m) M/Y Watercolours, the 115-foot (35m) M/Y Miracle, the 110-foot (33.5m) M/Y Kelly Anne, the 108-foot (33m) M/Y Beachfront, the 103-foot (31m) M/Y Trilogy, the 102-foot (31m) M/Y No Rules and the 95-foot (29m) M/Y Go..
