Captain’s charter yacht business Stanley Yacht Services a decade old

Capt. Ben and Jo Stanley celebrated this fall the 10th anniversary of their business, Stanley Yacht Services, aboard their 61-foot Hatteras M/Y Freedom, a yacht they purchased and put into charter service in Ft. Lauderdale.

“We’re so lucky to do what we do, and each of our guests, in some way, helps us do it,” Capt. Stanley said.

A former yacht captain, Stanley bought his own boat to take guests out for short or long-term charters around Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas.

“It’s been a short 10 years for me when it comes to remembering the start of Stanley Yacht Services,” said broker Pam Barlow of Luke Brown Yachts, at the celebration. “I’m sure it’s been a long 10 years for you when it comes to all of the hours of hard work you’ve put into building up your company. Congratulations on not only making it through some of the toughest years we’ve seen in the country, but in succeeding in building up a great reputation.”
