Table tops winners to be announced Thursday

Newport — interior departments on eight yachts in the Newport Charter Yacht Show displayed their prettiest tables as part of the Tablescaping competition Wednesday. They were judged on originality of theme, the display’s composition, use of materials and how well the tablescape fits with the yacht.

The crew can choose any theme and set up on either an interior or exterior table. The judges will pick one winner from yachts 110 feet and under, and yachts larger than 110 feet. Show attendees also will have a chance to choose a favorite.

Interior crew were also judged Wednesday on their healthy beverage concoctions. Winners for both competitions will be named Thursday.

Which Yacht will take top honors? Will it be S/Y Jupiter, M/Y Reflections, M/Y Zoom Zoom Zoom, M/Y Lady Victoria, M/Y Siete, M/Y Loose Ends, S/YManutara or M/Y Clarity?

The judges were Nancy Piffard of the Newport Exposition Group and Cheryl DiGennaro of Newport Yacht Interiors.
