Register for crew lounge at Monaco show

Sep 7, 2016 by Triton Staff

Netherlands-based ACREW, a provider of professional development to superyacht captains and crew, has opened registration for its facility at La Rascasse during the Monaco Yacht Show.

The venue will feature one masterclass each day (one each on refits, dive emergencies, and managing crew resources to reduce incidents onboard) and several hands-on workshops. PYA also will run its annual PYA seminars from the location.

La Rascasse overlooks Port Hercule and the show. It has a crew-only deck on the upper level, and food is served throughout the day. To register, visit www.acrew.com/monaco-yacht-show/

PYA GUEST Table Setting competition

Wednesday, 28 September 2016 from 10:00 to 15:30 (CEST)  Port Hercule – Monaco, Monaco

The competition is proudly supporting the Pink Ribbon Foundation for breast cancer research and treatment. Enter the annual PYA GUEST Table Setting competition, for a chance to wow our panel of exclusive industry judges with an elaborate table display showcasing your interior crew and galley’s unique creativity, style and flair.

All yachts participating in the Monaco Yacht Show, including those at anchor (providing they can collect our judges) can register and compete. This year’s theme is ‘Pink Cocktails and Canapés’ in support of the Pink Ribbon Foundation

There will be prizes for the best boat overall in all three elements (Table, Cocktail and Canapé) as well as prizes for the Best Cocktail (Chief stew), the Best Table (Chief stew) and the Best Canapé (Chef). Our exclusive panel of judges represent a diverse mix of professional figureheads of industry.

Our judges will step on-board at a pre-scheduled time on Wednesday 28th September.

There are some excellent prizes to be won for the best displays, kindly donated by Gourmet Deliveries.

This year’s competition will be raising money for The Pink Ribbon Foundation which works towards the research, detection and treatment of breast cancer. We invite entrants to make an optional charitable contribution when they register for the competition, and we will be happy to collect your donations on the day. References to the pink ribbon are welcome in your displays. The Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.  The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure. It relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.
