Palma yard reducing pollution

STP Shipyard in Palma has registered for the Carbon Footprint environmental certification, which takes a baseline measurement of fuel and electricity consumption and then follows a plan to reduce it.

To calculate the Carbon Footprint, the shipyard has considered the consumption of fuel and electricity in all areas of work including offices, maintenance, machinery, vehicles, etc.

The yard’s environmental staff also created a Green Point inside the yard for waste management and recycling of waste material as well as several other programs to reduce, manage and recycle waste.
