Project Nova, a 165-foot (50m) Heesen, has launched. According to the builder, this is world’s first fast displacement hull form (FDHF) with hybrid propulsion.

Named M/Y Home, the vessel has two water-cooled DC electric shaft motors, each 127 kW, enabling her to cruise at 9 knots on the generators alone.

Its exterior design is by Omega Architects; the interior is by Cristiano Gatto Design.

Home will remain in Oss for commissioning of her systems, and will then move to Rotterdam to undergo her sea trials before delivery to the owners in June.
