Safety zone established for Miami Beach Air and Sea Show (National Salute to America’s Heroes)

The U.S. Coast Guard has established a safety zone for the National Salute to America’s Heroes, the Miami Beach Air and Sea Show which takes place during the Memorial Day weekend in Miami Beach, Fla.

The safety zone consists of the waters of the Atlantic Ocean starting from approximately a half mile east of Collins Park, then directly south approximately three miles to Government Cut north jetty, west to the shoreline South Pointe Park and north along the shoreline to Collins Park.

The safety zone is scheduled to begin Friday at 8:30 a.m. until Sunday at 5 p.m., while aircraft and show boat crews are performing or practicing. No vessel or person will be permitted to enter the zone without obtaining permission from the Caption of the Port Miami or a designated representative.
