Fort Lauderdale-based Bluewater Crew Training USA now offers courses for recreational boaters.

Bluewater has developed a five-day course called “Safe Boating” for non-professional boating enthusiasts in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

The NASBLA-approved curriculum, taught by USCG-licensed captains, includes two full days aboard a 24-foot outboard boat and practical sea survival training in Bluewater’s indoor training pool. The course, open to those age 13 or older, prepares participants to take the NASBLA/Florida Safe Boating Exam, which is required to obtain a Boating Education Identification Card.

Safe Boating is offered at Bluewater’s training facility in Fort Lauderdale on June 26-July 1, July 10-15, July 21-Aug. 5, and Aug. 7-12. Enrollment is $795.
