Ortega Landing in Jacksonville, Florida, has become IGY Marina’s first facility in North Florida and its third in the state, joining One Island Park in Miami Beach and Maximo Marina in St. Petersburg.

“IGY Marinas has always placed Florida at the top of our marina expansion list, as several areas of the destination continue to be the most sought-after boating communities,” CEO Tom Mukamal stated in a recent IGY press release.

Ortega Landing has 192 slips made of Bellingham floating concrete in a sheltered cove. The marina can accommodate vessels up to 70 feet (21m), and can also host vessels up to 130 feet (40m) using its T dock heads. Amenities include a clubhouse, pool and hot tub deck, onsite laundry, picnic and dog-run area, and complimentary bicycles.

Cam Melangton was appointed general manager at Ortega Landing. Melangton has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining IGY, he served as marina manager and dockmaster for Pasadena Yacht and Country Club in Gulfport, Florida.

IGY Marinas, founded in 2005, is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, with offices in New York and St. Thomas. The company operates 16 marinas in seven countries. For more information, visit www.IGYMarinas.com.
