New service offers accounting help for captains

An online system to help megayacht captains keep on top of expenses, budgeting and accounting was recently launched by Avaletta, a yacht accounting company based in the Netherlands with branches in Fort Lauderdale, Auckland and Malta. According to the company, the system is designed to bring all paperwork together into one online portal in order to have real-time insights into the yacht’s administration.

Invoices, documents, purchase orders, payroll and other forms can be scanned and uploaded directly to the yacht’s online portal, where online billing, payroll tracking, project administration and budget tracking also can be handled.
An app enables captains, pursers or crew to scan receipts instantly to the software, and allows for tracking of petty cash, daily reports of expenses in real time, and a running tally on the budget.

Avaletta says direct online support from its accountants is available 24/7, as well as advice on securing VAT-free purchases, meeting tax obligations, investment opportunities and budget forecasts.  For more information, visit www.avaletta.com.
