Tortola-based charter company MarineMax Vacations has donated $10,000 through the Rotary Club of Tortola to the Road Town Primary School in the British Virgin Islands.

“We are honored to receive this gift from MarineMax Vacations. We have great plans to make the most of it and intend to create an even better environment for learning,” stated Cherilyn Anderson, principal of St. George’s Primary School, in a company news release.

The donation is part of the company’s ongoing support of efforts to rebuild the British Virgin Islands after destruction caused by Hurricane Irma in September. MarineMax also donated a percentage of its charter fleet fees between Dec. 1, 2017, to March 1, 2018.
