Benetti launches its longest GRP hull

On May 26, Benetti launched the longest GRP hull and aluminum superstructure it has ever built.

The 164-foot (50m) M/Y Blake slid down the slipway at the Via Coppino shipyard in Viareggio, with 300 guests in attendance.

The yacht, designed in partnership with London-based Bannenberg & Rowell Design, is powered by two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines producing 1,193 kW each, with a cruising speed of about 14 knots and a top speed of 15.5 knots.
