NJ hires new broker in Thailand

Marcus Overman has joined U.S.-based Northrop & Johnson as a sales broker in its Thailand office. Overman has worked in the dealership and brokerage sector of the industry in Asia since 2005.

Born in the UK and raised in Sydney, Australia, Overman began his career in the marine industry as a watersports instructor on Hayman Island in the Whitsundays near the Great Barrier Reef when he was 20. He went on to teach sailing in Sydney Harbour and deliver yachts along the east coast of Australia. A job with a sailing charter company took him around the world before he landed in Phuket, Thailand, in 2002, where he remained with his wife and two children.
