A Florida Power & Light transformer was offloaded from a barge in the South Fork of the New River at Universal Marine Center this morning in Fort Lauderdale. Marina crew had to move M/Y Matrix Rose back about 30 feet to make room this morning. Tow boats from Beyel Brothers and Cape Ann Towing maneuvered the barge perpendicular to the seawall to drive the trailer with the 220-ton transformer onto land, where it was then driven to the FPL power station in Fort Lauderdale.
