Do you drink from plastic water bottles?

Yes – 75%
No – 25%

Last year, charter brokers in the Caribbean handed out stainless steel water bottles to encourage yacht crew to stop using so many of the plastic kind that litter the islands’ beaches. I was curious just how pervasive these little bottles are.
Turns out, pretty pervasive. Three quarters of the crew I spoke to yesterday hydrate from plastic bottles. There reasons are legitimate, from the convenience to the taste. Not all yachts, it seems, have those mack daddy reverse osmosis systems.
