Caterpillar to offer reman engines

Mar 6, 2014 by Guest Writer

Caterpillar Marine has announced Cat Reman 3116, 3126 and 3126B propulsion engines, engines that are remanufactured using Caterpillar parts. The engines enter production this summer. These engines will be available in ratings of 304-456 mhp.

“The Cat 3116, Cat 3126 and Cat 3126B engines are some of the most popular engine platforms we’ve ever produced and we’re proud to relaunch them as remanufactured engines, providing customers with a reliable yet affordable alternative to an engine overhaul,” said David L. Holt, Caterpillar Marine part sales manager. “These are the first remanufactured engines we’ve launched for our marine business and we look forward to expanding the program to include our commercial offerings in 2015.”

Manufactured in Mississippi, the Cat Reman engines will meet original emissions requirements.
