Crane on barge topples in ICW

A crane on a barge fell over in the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday, Aug. 12. B&M Marine Construction was working to replace pilings at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina hotel located on the west side of the ICW just north of the 17th St. Causeway Bridge.

According to local news WSVN, SeaTow Fort Lauderdale helped secure the barge and a second crane on another barge was used to lift the mast of the first crane out of the water.

No one was injured.
