Digital Yacht offers chart app

Aug 5, 2014 by Guest Writer

Digital Yacht offers NavLink, a charting application for use with MacBook. The app includes U.S. NOAA vector charts with real time positioning, tracking, routing using intuitive finger gestures on the Mac trackpad. Digital Yacht offers GPS sensors and USB-NMEA adaptors to connect to the boat’s existing GPS/AIS system. NavLink supports a connection via Wi-Fi to wireless devices such as iAIS and the WLN10.

NavLink also supports “drill down” data so an object such as a buoy can be queried for its characteristics. Weather buoys are also supported for local weather conditions (an internet connection is required) and a tidal atlas is included. NavLink MAC users can also share routes with the NavLink iPad app.

For more information visit www.digitalyacht.net. The retail price is $29.95.
