116’ Benetti makes world debut

M/Y Mr Loui, the second in Benetti’s Mediterraneo 116 line, makes its world debut at the Miami Yacht Show this weekend.

With exteriors by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors designed by Ezequiel Farca and the Benetti interior team, Mr Loui (35.5m) is made of fiberglass and carbon fiber with a focus on convivial spaces, based on the owner’s desire to create “settings for the whole family, with large conversation areas,” Benetti said in a press release.

The sun deck, which covers an area of over 80 square meters, has two dining spaces, barbecue, sunbathing areas, and cockpit in the bow.

The interior includes a lift requested by the owner, large kitchen table for family breakfasts, and a main deck full-beam owner’s suite. Two VIP cabins and two guest cabins with sliding twin beds and pullmans are on the lower deck.

The crew is quartered in three double cabins, while the captain’s cabin is on the upper deck next to the helm station.

The yacht is powered by two CAT ACER C32 Rating D engines, each delivering 1,600 hp. Top speed stands at 15 knots, with a cruising speed of about 14 knots.

Three Azimut models make American debut

Three models from Azimut Yachts will receive their American premiere during the Miami Yacht Show on Collins.

The Grande 35METRI is a wide-body raised pilot house yacht with full-height windows and the option to add a sundeck. The superstructure and hardtop are built from carbon fiber, alternating with epoxy resin.

Azimut Grande 35METRI

The Azimut Grande 35METRI has received four international awards in recent months, including Best New Production Yacht Design at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2018.

This yacht is the biggest yet built by the shipyard. Stefano Righini defined the concept and designed the exteriors.

The Grande 27METRI, also designed by Righini, is a wide-body yacht with a vertical bow and full-height windows. The owner’s suite is on the main deck, and the yacht offers the possibility of five cabins. Carbon fiber was used for the hardtop, roll-bar, flydeck, superstructure and transom.

The Azimut 60, an 18m model designed by Righini, also has a vertical bow and big pilothouse windows, which on the starboard side are full-height.

Three Ferrettis make North American debuts

Setting the stage for U.S. celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Ferretti Yachts, Ferretti Group offers three yachts making their North American debuts during the Miami Yacht Show: the Custom Line Navetta 33, Ferretti Yachts 920, and Riva 56’ Rivale.

  • The 103-foot (33m) Custom Line Navetta 33 was awarded with the “Best Interior Design” at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. The hull features a bulbous forward to ensure performance, a wide body master suite forward on the main deck, and a solarium with sundeck and Jacuzzi.
  • The 92-foot Ferretti Yachts 920 features, for the first time in a Ferretti, an en-suite cabin layout that includes a wide-body master suite.
  • Riva’s 56-foot Rivale has a revised hull.

Arcadia 60 footer makes US debut

Italian builder Arcadia Yachts will debut its 60-foot Arcadia Sherpa to the U.S. market during the show. The convertible sky lounge is a good match for the American market as it allows owners to enjoy their yacht in all seasons. At the touch of a button, the side windows in the sky lounge raise all the way to the hard top, completely enclosing the space. The area is also air conditioned.
