Malcolm Knight, right, gave The Triton’s Lucy Chabot Reed and Vivian Godfrey of Bluewater Books and Charts a tour of The Queen’s Rowbarge, M/V Gloriana, docked at St. Katharine’s Dock just outside the London On-Water boat show last week. Built for The Queen’s Jubilee celebration in 2012, the 88-foot Gloriana has 1,000 pages of 24-carat gold leaf decorating the exterior in Tudor style. It took five months to build the wooden craft. Though the vessel has space for 18 rowers, it also has two Torqeedo electric motors.
