The Australian International Marine Export Group has a new CEO. AIMEX President Richard Chapman recently announced the appointment of David Good as chief executive officer, effective July 16.

David Good, AIMEX CXEO

Good, who is currently vice chairman of the Great Barrier Reef Superyacht Cluster, has been a longtime senior manager with Ports North in Cairns. He is a graduate of the Royal Military College. According to an AIMEX statement, Good has been involved with many aspects of the industry as part of the Superyacht Australia working group, driving changes to allow superyachts to charter in Australia.

“With the development of the Australian Superyacht strategy, we see it as critical to appoint a strong leader familiar with all the key issues who is ready to hit the ground running,” Chapman wrote. “AIMEX now has three industry sectors under its umbrella: Export, Commercial and Superyachts; and David is well positioned to manage all three sectors to ensure progression and growth.”
