Yacht captains and crew can find their “calm in the midst of chaos” again this year at the Oasis in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show throughout each day of the show.

The free hospitality lounge will offer lunch, scheduled presentations, a gaming area, spa services, vendor displays and free wifi for registered crew.

The Oasis is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with lunch served from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and beverages and snacks available throughout the day. Daily speakers will include local U.S. Customs and Border Protection, naval architects, marine service providers, air charter specialists, athletes and more to be announced. Confirmed on the schedule will be the International Superyacht Society’s YachtInfo seminar on the final day of the show, Nov. 4, from 3-6 p.m.

“… YachtInfo topics and speakers are being finalized, but the current ones on the table are: the automated yacht charter and captain/crew/owner communication,” according to Julia Russell, marketing manager with ISS/GMT. “YachtInfo is the educational platform of ISS that hosts panel sessions covering the latest topics, issues and regulations in the superyacht community. The educational events focus on captains, chief officers and company representatives who are impacted by the topics.”

Golf carts will be available for transit within the show. This year’s location is again at the International Swimming Hall of Fame. The Oasis was in a private home across the Intracoastal Waterway from the show in 2015, but it did not appear in 2016 because it could not work out the details with Show Management over transportation, access and locations.

The International Swimming Hall of Fame is located at 1 Hall of Fame Dr., Fort Lauderdale, 33316.
