Superyacht TV, which had a soft launch in January, officially launched at the Monaco Yacht Show this past week. It was created to showcase the luxury lifestyles on board megayachts and the industries that support them.

Programming for the station, which is based out of Monaco, centers on six categories: yachts, destinations, life on board, events, tenders and toys, and the creators. The channel is broadcast 24/7 and is free to view online at www.superyacht.tv, on mobile devices via the Superyacht TV app, or through an IP or satellite provider.

The station was founded by film and television producer Christian Moore, son of actor Roger Moore, along with yachting industry professional Patrick Coote and SSI-Monaco (Space Systems International), which specializes in satellite telecommunications.

According to the station, its current satellite reach is 30 million households, with broadcasts in Monaco on Channel 88 and in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and the MENA (Middle East, North Africa) region via MonacoSat. Expansion into the U.K. and across Europe is planned for 2019.
