Organizers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show have reached a two-year agreement with Delta Private Jets, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, to be the official private jet carrier and presenting sponsor of the show’s Windward VIP Club.

“Private aviation and yachting go hand-in-hand,” stated Kelly Love, VP of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Delta Private Jets. “The Delta Private Jets brand will complement the spirit of yachting by inviting guests to learn about the luxuries of private aviation.”

The Windward VIP Club is located at the Hall of Fame Marina. In partnership with Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin, this exclusive lounge will offer an open bar and gourmet food from morning through the evening. The climate-controlled area will include wine tastings and exclusive events.

The Windward VIP Club also includes a concierge team to arrange yacht tours, local dining reservations, private transportation and accommodations for private aviation on Delta Private Jets.

Open during show hours from Wednesday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 4, Windward VIP Club passes are $300 per day per person and include entrance to the show and water taxi service. Passes are available for purchase through the show’s online ticketing system at FLIBS.com. Valet parking is available at the show’s Las Olas Marina location, 201 S. Birch Road, for $70 per day, and can also be purchased in advance online.

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida estimates that more than 1,000 private planes land at regional FBOs (fixed base operators) during the show each year.

Delta Private Jets recently opened a new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at Sheltair Aviation in the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, featuring a 15,000-square-foot hangar and 2,200 square feet of office space. The facility supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as servicing of private aircraft elsewhere in South Florida.
