Acrew Insights offers seminars for crew

Dec 19, 2018 by Triton Staff

Acrew held its first Insights event in November at the Palma shipyard Astilleros de Mallorca. Designed to connect senior yacht crew with topic experts, 25 captains gathered at the first Insights for a morning of educational seminars.

The first seminar, hosted by Crew-Glue, explored the elements of juggling multiple personalities as a captain. This was followed by a seminar hosted by Ahoy Club on how to plan for a successful charter season. Then Diego Colón, CEO of Astilleros de Mallorca, spoke about  the history of oceanic navigation dating back to the writings of Marco Polo.

A three-course lunch was provided by JOTUN, with fine wines from No.12 Fine Fine Wines & Provisions.

Acrew’s second Insights day, “YES – Yacht Efficiency Summit,” was held at Keystone Law in London in December, with a focus on how to maximize the benefits of owning a megayacht as an asset.
