Dream Yacht Charter has opened a new Malta base in Port Roland Marina, Ta’Xbiex Creek, Marsamxetto Harbour, close to Valletta. The marina is in the heart of Malta’s yachting community, with bars, restaurants, chandleries and supermarkets nearby. Facilities include wi-fi, laundry, cleaning, provisions, showers, taxis and security.
Situated between Sicily and the North African coast, the archipelago of Malta, Gozo and Comino is renowned for its diving sites, blue grottos, natural swimming pools and lagoon. There are UNESCO heritage sites, Roman catacombs at Rabat, the ancient walled cities of Mdina and Valletta, as well as a number of regional festivals.
“Malta is a fantastic destination providing calm sailing for novice sailors, as well as a longer passage to Sicily for those with more experience who want to charter for more than a week,” said Dream Yacht Charter founder Loïc Bonnet. “The culture, history, delicious cuisine and itinerary possibilities make this a wonderful Mediterranean destination.”
There are flights from the U.S. to the Malta International Airport (MLA) via Munich, Frankfurt or London Heathrow. Port Roland Marina is a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport.
Bonnet started Dream Yacht Charter in 2000 with six sailboats in the Seychelles. Today, the company has more than 1,000 yachts in more than 50 destinations worldwide. For more information, visit dreamyachtcharter.com.
