India’s Port Blair airport has been designated an authorized immigration clearance point, making it more convenient for yachts traveling to the Andaman and Nicobar islands, according to a statement from Asia Pacific Superyachts.
A home ministry notification issued by the government of India declares the Union territory airport a “check post for entry into/exit from India with valid travel documents for all classes of passengers.”
According to the statement released by Asia Pacific Superyachts, an e-Visa facility is expected soon at the seaport and airport of Port Blair to enable foreigners to obtain visas upon arrival.
