The nearly 300-foot M/Y Voyager has been hidden under shrink-wrap and scaffolding in Dania Cut Super Yacht Repair facility near Fort Lauderdale for the past three years, undergoing a major refit.
Much of the coverings have been removed and a better view of the changes on the former supply ship was available yesterday.
The vessel has been extended from about 200 feet, according to a variety of media reports, and looms large and long over other yachts in the canal, including 197-foot (60m) Benetti M/Y Formosa docked just to the east. Articles from 2016 report the five-deck vessel will be an expedition yacht.
The canal, located one and a half miles south of Port Everglades, was dredged in 2013 to 17 feet deep to allow for a 15-foot controlling depth and providing access for this vessel to reach the yard.
