X Shore offers fully electric tender

Swedish e-boat builder X Shore recently announced a new tender available for order: the Eelex 6500, which comes in a 6.5m model and an 8m model.

Building on the company’s prototype 8000 Smögen, launched in March 2018, the Eelex models have increased performance and more sustainable materials, according to a company press release.

With a minimal carbon footprint, both models of the 100 percent electric-powered Eelex can reach top speeds of 40 knots, with a cruising speed of 25 knots, and can travel up to 100 nautical miles on a single charge when operated at slower speeds, according to the builder.
