Yacht fire contained at Cracker Boy in Riviera Beach

Local news reports that a yacht fire that started this morning at Cracker Boy Boat Works in Riviera Beach, Florida is being contained. There were no injuries reported.

ORIGINAL POST May 7 8:45 a.m.:

Local firefighters are fighting a blaze on a yacht that is dry-docked at Cracker Boy Boat Works in Riviera Beach, Florida.

“No one is hurt and the firefighters are working hard,” said Rachel Bene, customer service representative at the do-it-yourself yard, by phone Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m.

The make and name of the yacht that is between 80 and 100 feet has not been confirmed and the cause of the fire has not been determined.

“Fires are nothing to joke about,” Bene said.
