Newport19: Interior crew liven up tables, drinks at the show

Most of the yachts participated in several interior competitions at the Newport Charter Yacht Show last week. The creative and innovative abilities of interior crew wowed judges and fans during tablescaping, cocktail and designer water competitions.

A panel of design professionals picked the Singing in the Rain-themed table of Chief Stew Jessica Gee and 2d Stew Elizabeth Stone of M/Y Endeavor. The fresh design featured bright tulips, fresh herbs, blue rubber garden boots under an umbrella with raindrops of crystals and catchy tunes.

Stew Matt Krohl of M/Y Enterprise was the favorite of fans who voted for his Star Trek-themed table, complete with a statue of the Vulcan Spock and a colorful, moving spacescape on the large display screen.

Other competitions included the Signature Cocktail competition. First place went to S/Y Columbia, second place to M/Y Magical Days, and third place to M/Y Invision.

The winners of the Designer Water competition were: First place to M/Y Ariadne, second place to S/Y Columbia, and third place to M/Y Fabulous Character.
