Atacama Salt Lake in northern Chile is 2,400m (7,200 feet) above sea level in a landscape filled with “snow-capped volcanoes, altiplano lagoons, and flamingos – a very different, but amazing landscape,” wrote Carlos Miquel, regional director of SASYS.
