Young Professionals in Yachting have put out the call for the marine industry to unite on Aug. 16 for an afternoon of fun and exercise to raise money for charity.

All proceeds from the one-hour spinning event will benefit the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 11,000 children with special health care needs in Broward County. Nationally recognized as a “Center of Excellence,” CDTC provides prevention, intervention and treatment services in a medical home environment for infants, children and youth with chronic illnesses, disabilities and developmental delays.

Event participants are invited to spin on a stationary bike for either 30 or 60 minutes from 4-5 p.m. at Cyclebar, 525 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Tickets to Spin for a Cause also include a pass to the after party from 5:30-7 p.m. Tickets for just the after party are also available for those who can’t make it to the event.
