Registration is now open for the Association of Marina Industries’ Marina 101 course and Marina & Boatyard Study Tour on Oct. 27-29 in West Palm Beach.

Marina 101 on Oct. 27 is a four-hour marina industry introduction course for those with little or no marina experience who may be looking to get into the industry as an advancement opportunity or career shift, or who are interested in purchasing or developing a marina.

The study tour Oct. 28-29 includes tours of nine facilities in the West Palm Beach area, followed each day by roundtable discussions that include in-depth reviews and analyses of marina strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

The course and study tour may be taken separately. Registration for Marina 101 is $250 for AMI members; $299 for non-members; and $100 when registering for the study tour as well. The study tour is $1,195 for AMI members; $1,495 for non-members. It includes two nights hotel stay, breakfast and lunch for two days, and transportation to and from each marina on the tour.
