BGI offers ‘smart’ bilge pump control panel

Colorado-based Blue Guard Innovations has released a new advanced control panel that displays all the essential functions of a bilge pump system.

The “smart” panel, called BG-CP-A, is equipped with an alarm that can be used for high water, oil, or any other available alert on the yacht, according to a company press release. Compact in size – 3.5 inches by 2.1 inches by 2.4 inches – the panel has a four-digit display that shows the live voltage on a pump, then cycles through bilge pump count, run time, input voltage and current output. In the event of a power outage, the panel’s memory will continue to store the pump count.

BGI’s “smart” panel, called BG-CP-A.

BGI’s flagship product, the smart bilge pump switch BG-One, has won an IBEX Innovation award, a DAME honorable mention and a Pittman award since its debut in 2018. Since the launch of BG-One, the company has released other switches and sensors, panels and an “internet of things” monitoring system.
