Oct 31, 2019 by Lucy Chabot Reed

Informa and MIASF opened the 60th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show yesterday with a nod to the Bahamas and its current needs — both in terms of continued disaster relief for Grand Bahama and the Abacos as well as tourism for the remaining 14 major islands untouched by Hurricane Dorian.

More than 1,000 boats are in water at the show this year, and the show boats more debuts than any other show in the U.S.
