FLIBS19: Resolve offers free training

Fort Lauderdale-based Resolve Maritime Academy in partnership with Fire Ranger is offering a free training class “First Response for On-board Emergencies.” 

The course will help yacht crew understand the different classes of fire and how fire behaves, go through the types of fire hydrants and fire-fighting agents, review emergency management best practices (assess, act, alert) as well as preventative measures and emergency plans.

The two-hour course will be held at the academy, 1610 S.E. 17th St., 3rd Floor (33316) on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be provided. 

Registration is required.
