Lionfish Removal and Awareness day is a statewide initiative started by FWC that encourages divers to collect invasive lionfish from Florida waters. All divers and snorkelers are invited to participate to help combat the lionfish invasion. This year, Lionfish Removal Day is Saturday, May 16th.

Lionfish hunters, organize your own lionfish removal dive or go out with your local dive shops, then join REEF for a fun, free, family-friendly event at the Postcard Inn. The day will include lionfish filleting and dissections, lionfish tastings, raffles for REEF prizes, and more! Not able to get out on the water?

Come on by anyways and learn more about lionfish and join in on the fun!
