According to local media reports, Ethos was spotted listing to one side near Paliokaravo Bay in Kefalonia, Greece. Local Greek media Prototheme reports that a crewmember had left a side door open, which then flooded when the weather turned. A video on Instagram shows the vessel anchored and aground in the area.
The five crewmembers and five guests on board were evacuated safely after the vessel ran aground in Evretis Bay. Authorities said at the time that water was being removed and a diver was checking the damage beneath the waterline.
Reports say that M/Y Ethos had only recently undergone a refit in Greece. The yacht was originally launched in 2014.
