Superyacht Fitness’ new app offers personalized fitness plans, nutritional guidance, mental health resources, self-development tools, and holistic strategies.
The Superyacht Fitness Academy is a newly launched training platform that helps crew with the mental, physical, emotional demands of working on board superyachts. The suite of courses in the program includes the Maritime Growth Programme (MGP), a program that is specifically designed for crewmembers facing isolation, stress, and the pressures of confined living on board. MGP was created in conjunction with Tracey Jones. Jones brings extensive experience with MGP to help crew with mental and emotional health alongside physical fitness.
“We are thrilled with the announcement of our partnership with Superyacht Fitness. Understanding the unique pressures faced by those in the yachting industry, our Maritime Growth Programme aims to enhance the wellbeing and personal development of crew,” Jones said. “We take immense pride in delivering this transformative programme, which fosters resilience, mental wellness, and personal empowerment. By investing in our crew’s growth, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in their lives and the industry as a whole.”
The Superyacht Fitness Academy includes a variety of e-learning courses that focus on fitness, Pilates, sports massage therapy, nutrition, health and wellbeing, and strength and conditioning. Each course is specifically designed for crewmembers on board, like the strength and conditioning course highlighting marine-appropriate strength training. All of the courses are accredited by ROSPA and CIMPSA, adding a valuable certification to a crewmember’s resume.
“At Superyacht Fitness, we are excited to introduce the Maritime Growth Programme as part of the Superyacht Fitness Academy. Developed in collaboration with the multi-award-winning Tracey Jones, this course is designed to help crew navigate challenges, build stronger relationships, and enhance both their professional and personal lives,” said Glen Taylor, Superyacht Fitness Academy’s co-founder. “This initiative is another step in our ongoing commitment to crew wellness, reinforcing our pledge to positively impact 5,000 crewmembers’ lives by 2026.”
