After recognizing Dubai’s role in the rapidly growing United Arab Emirates (UAE) yachting scene, Ethereal Blooms is expanding its team and markets to Dubai. A new yacht sales team comprising of former yacht crewmembers is moving to the UAE, bringing with them 15 years of experience in notable new yacht build projects and multiple 100-meter plus yachts.
“Our expansion into Dubai and the growth of our yacht sales team reflect our commitment to providing sustainable floral solutions to the luxury yachting industry worldwide. We are excited to offer a more sustainable alternative to traditional fresh flower arrangements without compromising on quality, luxury, or style,” said Joanna Hirst, head of yacht sales at Ethereal Blooms.
Founded in 2017 by Co-founders Kathryn Popplestone and Erni Visser, Ethereal Blooms is a London-based floral lab and studio that aims to transform the floristry industry from one of the world’s most environmentally wasteful industries to a more sustainable one. The company uses a biotechnological process that keeps flowers looking hand-picked and fresh for up to a year without requiring water or sunlight.
Ethereal Blooms has supplied more than 100 superyachts with various installations and bouquets. The company has also partnered with Burgess to encourage the adoption of sustainable options, with all superyachts under Burgess’ management receiving information and discounts on Ethereal Blooms’ purchases. The company now looks to this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, as they plan to meet with yachts, crew, and industry stakeholders to further sustainability in the floristry industry aboard superyachts.
“As a company deeply committed to sustainable practices, we are excited to attend the Monaco Yacht Show again this year, especially with the return of the dedicated Sustainability Hub. We love seeing the industry place a stronger emphasis on environmental responsibility; it is such a great opportunity to connect with like-minded businesses and industry professionals to showcase how luxury and sustainability can coexist in our industry,” Hirst said.
