Former Stew Launches Yachting Loves Florida Thanksgiving Fundraiser

One yachting couple is launching their Yachting Loves Florida fundraising initiative to support local efforts to feed the community.

Randi Barry, a former stewardess, creator of Nautic Nomad, and the talent behind the Randi Barry fashion label, and her husband, Capt. Daryn Dalton of M/Y S7, are hosting their third annual Yachting Loves Florida Thanksgiving fundraiser in South Florida.

“Daryn and I have always been grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends,” Barry said. “However, we recognize that many in our Fort Lauderdale and South Florida community don’t have the same access to the benefits of the yachting industry. This inspired us to create a meaningful way for the yachting community to give back and provide immediate relief to those in need.”

Yachting Loves Florida is raising funds to provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need in collaboration with Henderson Behavioral Health, which has served South Florida for more than 70 years. Henderson Behavioral Health supports homeless or financially disadvantaged individuals who struggle with severe, persistent mental health challenges. These community members depend on assistance for essential resources.

“Rather than donating to larger organizations where funds can be lost to administrative costs, we chose to collaborate with local professionals who are directly helping individuals in crisis,” Barry said. “These efforts ensure people receive essential items like meals, clothing, and toiletries.”

The goal is to meet urgent needs for food, clothing, shelter, and hygiene supplies for those in crisis and provide holiday dinners. You can help — Yachting Loves Florida is looking for donations of clothing, shoes, socks, towels, washcloths, deodorant, body wash, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and non-perishable foods.

You can donate in person by dropping off contributions to Reardon Yacht Consulting at 1111 SE 3rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, or financially through their GoFundMe.

“We are proud to know that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to those who need it most this holiday season,” Barry said.
