Spain's Los Gallos claimed victory for the second consecutive SailGP event, defeating Artemis, Explora Journeys Swiss, and NorthStar in a tight final race at the Portsmouth Rolex SailGP Championship over the weekend. “An amazing weekend — with the conditions we had — very windy, with a small wing, which we love," said driver Diego Botín. "It was amazing to get the win back to back after Halifax; it felt like we were gelling as a team in every aspect.” Teams were divided into two groups for the qualifying races, with the top four advancing to the final. Each of the 10 qualifying races was won by a different team. Artemis finished second overall at the event. Canada’s NorthStar placed third in only its second SailGP event final, while Explora Journeys Swiss finished fourth. The victory moved Spain closer to championship leaders Australia's Bonds Flying Roos, while Artemis climbed to third in the overall standings after overtaking the United States and Emirates GBR. Following the Portsmouth results, Artemis moved into third place in the overall season standings. Australia's Bonds Flying Roos continue to lead the championship with 66 points, followed by Los Gallos with 54. Artemis sits third with 47 points, just one ahead of the United States team.
