Yacht Pearls of Wisdom will host its next Women with Purpose Lunch in Southampton on March 13, inviting women from across the yachting industry — both ashore and at sea — to gather for what founder Cherise Reedman calls an “intimate, purposeful” afternoon of connection and conversation. A former chief stew with years of experience on board, Reedman created Yacht Pearls of Wisdom after transitioning ashore and navigating the challenges of juggling work, motherhood, and a new career path. Yacht Pearls of Wisdom became another avenue for her to bring women together to share their yachting experiences and help them find their way. In the years since her move ashore, Reedman has built a strong, growing network of women, hosted numerous events, and launched a podcast, Tales from the Superyacht Laundry, where women share stories and insights from their lives in yachting. As she previously told Triton, “In its simplest form, it’s about women looking out for women and feeding the knowledge and information, like pearls of wisdom, back to the next generation of women.” The upcoming lunch continues that mission, offering a relaxed space to connect with other women, share experiences, and offer space for voices that may go unheard. Reedman will also introduce a new yacht crew survey for women, launching during the event and running until the end of April, to gather honest feedback about women’s experiences in the yachting industry, both good and bad. (Stay tuned for the survey link.) Spaces are limited. To attend, email Cherise Reedman: cherise.reedman@yachtpearlsofwisdom.com
