YATCO launched its first Destination Forum at the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show on Wednesday. Held in the YATCO Flagship Lounge in partnership with Hill Robinson, the forum was created as a hub for captains and crew to connect with representatives from popular and growing cruising destinations. The morning opened with a series of “Destination Stories,” where speakers brought a few global cruising regions to life, spotlighting Anguilla, Tahiti, Mexico, the Amalfi Coast, French Polynesia, and Antarctica. David Mizrahi from Anguilla’s Port Nimara emphasized the importance of creating an experience both inside and beyond the marina, shaped by feedback from owners, captains, and crew about what they truly want in a marina. “It’s not just a place to park your boat,” Mizrahi said. The facility will be able to accommodate superyachts up to 240 feet plus when it opens. Jameel Rochester, director of tourism in Anguilla, also touched on how the island is working to entice superyachts and expand island infrastructure. This focus on experiences carried through the forum, as speakers shared personal insights and knowledge on everything from must-visit destinations to essential logistics, including visa requirements, documentation, and charter regulations. Thierry Voison of ECPY offered perspectives on the French Riviera, followed by Deanna Lyn, COO of Marina Puerto Escondido, who highlighted the Sea of Cortez’s growing appeal, driven by its natural beauty and biodiversity. Carlos from Eco Naviera expanded on the region’s cruising considerations, including regulations. Additional sessions explored the enduring appeal of the Amalfi Coast, with insights from Capt. Roy Hodges of M/Y Laurel and yacht agent Riot Di Palma of R Yacht. Samuel Gagnon of Swan Hellenic provided an overview of Antarctic expeditions, while Manoa Rey of Tahiti Tourisme closed with a snapshot of French Polynesia’s cultural and beautiful attractions. While each presentation offered only a glimpse into its destination, the takeaway was clear: the world of cruising continues to expand, with an ever-growing list of destinations ready to be explored. All speakers are available in the YATCO Lounge throughout the show.
