Boot Düsseldorf, the largest indoor boat and watersports show on the planet, is returning to Messe Düsseldorf, Germany, from Jan. 17–25. Industry leaders, yacht captains and crew, and water sports enthusiasts come together under one roof for nine days of innovation, networking, and nautical excitement. More than 200,000 visitors from 120 countries and more than 1,500 exhibitors from 67 nations will meet in 16 exhibition halls, covering everything from yachting to diving and surfing. The different exhibition halls will cover the following themes: • Superyachts • Super Boats • Motorboats • Sport Fishing • Surf Sports • Sailing • Diving • Destinations and Boat Life • Maritime Art • Paddling • Equipment and Accessories Boot also offers a different program each day, where visitors can expect an extensive, daily changing program that includes various talks, lectures, documentaries, and workshops on numerous stages. Boot includes free hands-on water sports, like the diving tower in Hall 12, the World of Paddling in Hall 14, or the Sailing School in Hall 15. Several awards will be presented during this year’s boot Düsseldorf. The boot Dive Award includes five categories — personality, destination, innovation, product, and climate — with winners of each category being honored during the show. Public voting will determine the winner of the Ocean Tribute award, which honors initiatives, associations, and projects that are committed to the preservation of the oceans. One of the most anticipated awards, the European Yacht of the Year and Powerboat of the Year, will also be awarded on Jan. 17. Long considered the industry’s kickoff of the year ahead, boot Düsseldorf will once again showcase emerging trends and set the tone for the yachting industry’s new year. Image by boot Düsseldorf.
